Analysis and Evaluation of Knowledge Management Processes Through Intelligent Agents

The analysis and evaluation of knowledge management processes is an important area of interest in research and business. Companies currently are required to analyze and to audit its knowledge management processes. This stems from a requirement to comply with Data Protection Laws in respective countries and companies ́ desire to optimize its critical processes. Both companies and the marketplace are increasingly interested in understanding to what extent efficiency of knowledge management processes adds value to companies. This paper argues that the introduction of intelligent agents can facilitate companies ́ information management systems to record and audit the use of knowledge. The technology of intelligent agents can be applied to control and record how knowledge is managed and to report aggregated information for evaluation and auditing purposes.
